Terms of Use

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and SesiAI (sesiai.in), run by P Gopi Krishna ("SesiAI", "we"). By creating an account or using Sesi, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Sesi.

2. What Sesi is

Sesi is an AI buddy that chats, tells stories, plays games and helps with homework. It's made for children aged 3 to 12, with a 13+ setting for teens and grown-ups.

• Sesi is not a person, and it can be wrong. Please check anything important, especially facts for school.
• Sesi is not a medical, legal or emotional-health service, and not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number or a trusted adult straight away.
• Sesi helps children learn by guiding them. It is not meant for doing their schoolwork for them.

3. Your account

• You must be 18 or over and the child's parent or legal guardian to create an account. Children must not create accounts.
• Use a real email you can check, keep your password and the parent PIN private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
• One plan is for one child. You're responsible for everything done with your account.
• Where Sesi is offered depends on your country. It isn't available everywhere.

4. The free trial

• Each family gets one free trial: 20 minutes in India, 10 minutes elsewhere. The exact length is shown before you start.
• In some countries, a grown-up first confirms with a card. We take a small amount (like US$1) and refund it straight away.
• Making extra accounts to get more free time isn't allowed, and we limit how many trials can start from one place.

5. Plans and payments

• What you get: each plan gives your child a set amount of Sesi time each day (for example, 20 minutes), for the length you choose (1 to 12 months). Unused minutes don't carry over to the next day.
• Extra time packs add minutes you can use within 30 days, after the day's plan minutes.
• Prices are shown in your currency before you pay, and depend on your country. The price you see at checkout is final. If we change prices, it won't affect a plan you've already paid for.
• Paid in advance, no automatic renewal. We never charge you again without you choosing to. When a plan ends, you can buy another one.
• Upgrading: a bigger plan starts straight away, and the unused part of your current plan comes off its price. A smaller plan can be chosen when your current plan ends.
• Payments are handled securely by Razorpay under its own terms. Prices set for a country are for payments from that country. If a payment doesn't match the country's price (for example, the India price paid with a card from outside India), it is refunded automatically and no plan is given.
• Payments are for access to Sesi for the chosen time and aren't refundable once a plan has started, except for the automatic refunds above, a mistake on our side (such as being charged twice), or where the law gives you a right to a refund. Details: Refunds & cancellations.

6. Stopping

• You can stop using Sesi whenever you like. Since plans don't renew, there's nothing to cancel. Your plan simply ends on its end date.
• You can delete your account in grown-up settings → Delete my account. Deleting ends any remaining plan time.
• We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms, puts children at risk, or tries to cheat the system. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first.

7. Using Sesi well

Please don't, and don't let others:

• try to get around Sesi's safety features, or trick it into saying harmful things;
• use Sesi to harm, bully or collect information about anyone;
• copy, resell, or break into Sesi or its servers, or overload them with automated use;
• give false information to get free time or a lower price.

8. Safety, and your role as a grown-up

We work hard to keep Sesi safe: every message is checked before Sesi answers, personal details are hidden, and worrying moments show in the safety log on your phone. But no AI is perfect, and we can't promise Sesi will always get it right. Please stay involved: talk with your child about what they do with Sesi, check the safety log and weekly note, and use the time limits and PIN.

9. Changes to Sesi and to these terms

We keep improving Sesi, so features may change. We may briefly pause Sesi to keep it safe or fix problems. If we change these terms in an important way, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change applies. If you keep using Sesi after that, the new terms apply.

10. Our content

Sesi's name, logo, characters, app and website belong to us. You may use Sesi for your family's own, non-commercial use. Stories and answers Sesi writes for your child are yours to enjoy and share at home. Ideas and feedback you send us may be used to improve Sesi, with no obligation to you.

11. Our responsibility

We provide Sesi with care, but "as it is", without promising it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every need. As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the problem. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of India, unless the law of your country gives you the right to go to your local courts.
